Helpful data, solid plan, keep going!

It's exciting to see a snapshot of where KCMO diversion rates are now, what resources and expertise are currently available, and where we want to be. I appreciate seeing solutions that high organic waste generators and residential consumers can both get involved in. I didn't know as much about the other forms of organic materials recovery outside of making compost (and food waste diversion), and the plan did a great job at introducing these alternative opportunites. That being said, I think it would be helpful to cross walk the food production and compost generation portions of this plan with a KCMO-wide food systems plan so that our producers see themselves more in this plan. Let's talk about diverting organic waste, generating more food locally, and how the connection between the two are the backbone for a more sustainable KC and usher in a new mindset of a greener reputation for our metro.
