Paseo North
From "Bikeways and Trail Plan"

I'm not sure what the proposed lane will look like from the Paseo Gateway (Independence Ave) to 18th street, but I see potential for a full pedestrian path AND traffic calming. If we aren't getting a dedicated off-street path for this corridor, I would love to see Paseo cut down to two lanes and a full barricaded lane takeover for a pedestrian path. There is absolutely no reason drivers need 3 tiny lanes on Paseo in which buses and trucks can't even fit. Traffic calmed. Safe path installed. Win win.

I agree with the idea of narrowing the Paseo down to two lanes per side. As for the path, I believe the plan is that it will be off-street running the full length of this stretch of road, which will serve as the eastern leg of the Greenline loop. They've already completed the section between Independence and Admiral, but I don't know whether the segment south of Admiral has been confirmed as off-street just yet. (Sorry if I'm telling you anything you already know!)
