The Paseo Bike-Expressway
From "District 3 Mobility Plan"
Go to the project
There is clearly a lot of desire for improvements to The Paseo. I'm on that bandwagon, but only if the separation is applied to a significant portion of the corridor. I'd love to see a bike expressway from the river to at least Brush Creek, and I think The Paseo is the best option for that. But it's a busy and big enough road that any gaps between bike infrastructure would be extremely dangerous and disruptive for users. I'd favor other corridors if we can't get a complete Paseo.

Love this idea. I would likely bike this daily on my work commute, but only if it's complete as you suggest.

Please leave the Paseo alone. Can we not have one major street that isn't chopped to bits to accommodate bike lanes?? At least you can still get somewhere traveling North to South in KC but East to West has become an absolute nightmare.

There are very few corridors that could connect Kansas City from the river to 435. The Paseo is the best opportunity for this. A big beautiful bike superhighway on a beautiful boulevard that is already relatively low traffic.

@Trevor Acorn make a separate bike-only trail like the Trolley Trail. The relatively low traffic of Paseo is *NICE* - let’s not mess it up like we’ve done to so many streets in KC by reducing lanes.
