39th Street: Road Diet Project Feedback
Kansas City needs your feedback to help improve safety on 39th Street! This phase of the project focusses on the stretch of 39th Street that spans from Broadway Boulevard to US-71 Highway. Due to this crash data, the area has been identified for a "road diet" ordinance, aiming to improve pedestrian and traffic safety. The project team now wants to hear from the community to see if they support a road diet.
A road diet is a mechanism that could reduce crashes by changing lane configurations. This proposed road diet involves converting the existing 4 lanes of traffic to 3 lanes, as pictured above.
