Truman Plaza Area Plan Review & Feedback Opportunity

Welcome to the Truman Plaza Area Plan Review Page!

Currently the Truman Plaza area plan is in the process of being updated. During this process, we are revisiting key strategies, gathering new insights, and incorporating updated data. Additionally, we are re-engaging with the community through public meetings and surveys to gather input and ensure the plan reflects the community's current and future goals.

Here, you can review drafts of the area plan and share your feedback. After each public engagement event, new drafts will be posted for your review and comment. To leave a comment, simply sign up with your email. After signing up, scroll through the document and click on any section where you'd like to provide input. Once you click, you'll be prompted to add your comment and select the type of feedback you'd like to provide.

Rest assured; all comments will be kept anonymous. We appreciate your input as we work to update this area plan!

Review the Truman Plaza Mobility Analysis

August 5, 2025 5:00 AM - September 3, 2025 5:00 AM

The project team is looking for community comment on the Mobility Analysis of the Truman Plaza area, as a part of the Area Plan update process. Those who missed the community workshop where this was presented still have the opportunity to provide input on what is presented, what should change, or what might have been missed.

This preliminary analysis looks at the areas capacity for various forms of mobility including streets, walkability, bike and trail infrastructure, transit, and parking. Two important opportunities for input include preferred bicycle facilities and image street elements.

Additionally, a recording of the meeting will be posted here: https://areaplans.kcmo.gov/pages/95675c83f1574e73b6a4df202fc7ed32
