What is the Wornall Corridor Plan?

The Wornall Corridor Plan is intended to guide future development and infrastructure improvements along Wornall Road, from Gregory Boulevard to 85th Street, promoting high‑quality, context‑sensitive development that is safe, walkable, bikeable, and responsive to community needs. This plan will generally address the following: Land Use and Quality Development; Public Spaces and Streetscapes; and Mobility

What are the desired outcomes of the Plan?

Through community engagement, the Wornall Corridor Plan aims to:

- Establish clear site design, landscaping, and architectural standards to guide new development

- Identify streetscape and pedestrian‑oriented public space improvements that enhance comfort and usability

- Create a strong visual and civic identity for the Wornall corridor

- Identify key “pinch points” or “triggers” that can help spur high‑quality economic development

- Improve mobility and circulation for vehicles, pedestrians, and bicyclists to create a safe and accessible environment for all users
